Here goes:
- Bring along your bug sprays since we have lots of bugs in Antigua.
- You can get best rates and save lots of money by traveling to Antigua during summer of fall.
- Caribbean sun rays are quite damaging, bring along your favorite sun blocks and lotions.
- Bring along some hats and sunglasses.
- Antigua has a $20 departure tax.
- Shopping is best done at Heritage and Redcliffe Quays.
- Antiguan local time is according to Atlantic Standard Time
- You are expected to leave some tips
- If you want to rent a car, go ahead but remember that you will be driving on the left hand side of the road.
- Make sure that you are well insured. Better take comprehensive travel insurance if you don’t have one.
- No sandals please. Better bring along your sneakers or beach shoes.
- Vaccinations are not required but do check before going.
- Most businesses are open from Monday to Saturday.
- Like any other islands in the world, you can dress conservatively except maybe in hotels and some fancy restaurants where you will be required to wear jackets.
